Immerse yourself in the natural wonders and wildlife of the ancient Great Rift Valley as you mitigate global warming by volunteering on reforestation projects!
Northern Tanzania is best known for its wildlife safaris, abundant natural resources, and three UNESCO World Heritage sites. Tanzania is also a land vibrant in cultural diversity, world-renowned for wide-open savannahs, lush tropical mountain forests, the Great Rift Valley and Mt. Kilimanjaro.
Join us as we gain an appreciation for the people, local cultural heritage, and the highland and forest environments they call home while we see the sights AND help to preserve and restore the incredible ecosystems and landscapes near Lake Manyara National Park, part of the Great Rift Valley Escarpment, and in the Rau Reserve in Moshi Town at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
Desertification is one of Tanzania’s biggest challenges due to climate change and deforestation. Traveling with local Tanzanian travel companies and collaborating with local community organizations, our trip participants volunteer on reforestation projects and trail restoration in the highlands of the Great Rift Valley and at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro in the northern part of Tanzania. These projects support developing a sustainable environment for future generations. The trees we plant help mitigate climate change, protect water sources, improve water quality, reduce erosion and promote biodiversity. Reforestation also provides space for the local community’s well-being.
The community celebration dinners will provide all you will need to know to come home with the assurance that your visit to Tanzania will leave lasting memories both for you and for the local communities. Join ConservationVIP’s Tanzania Volunteer Trip to Travel with Purpose!
