Meaningful Adventures in the World’s Extraordinary Places
ConservationVIP was founded in 2007 by former U.S. National Park Service leaders who wanted to share a simple idea: travel can be engaging and fun and it can help the extraordinary places we love to visit. Since then, ConservationVIP has led adventurous, hands-on conservation trips to destinations such as Machu Picchu, Torres del Paine in Patagonia, the Scottish Highlands, the Galápagos Islands, Costa Rica and U.S. national parks.
What makes us different?
Our travelers enjoy special access to iconic sites not available to ordinary tourists and they get to take part in rewarding conservation activities designed with local experts, whether restoring a trail with stunning views, planting native species or protecting biodiversity while learning from community partners. These are meaningful, well-paced activities that help you connect deeply with the place and people around you.
A Welcoming Community for Solo Travelers
Many travelers join us solo and quickly discover a welcoming group of like-minded adventurers. Our trips attract people—often women—who value meaningful experiences, beautiful landscapes, thoughtful conversation, and shared purpose over surface-level tourism. Through our carefully designed itineraries, small groups, and experienced guides, we create an inclusive environment where solo travelers can relax, fully participate, and feel at home. Guests leave not only with unforgettable memories and new friendships, but also with the deep satisfaction of having contributed to something meaningful along the way.
