Kenyan travel writer Rupi Mangat has a deep love and admiration for her country, which she can’t help but share. Since 1998, she’s been writing about her experiences, hoping to inspire her fellow Kenyans to travel and explore their beautiful country, and to treat it with care.
In 1991, Rupi began fundraising for the Wildlife Clubs of Kenya, a youth organization started in 1968 by high school kids and future conservationists who wanted to witness the country’s diverse wildlife. She now holds the honour of acting as editor of the WCK magazine, Komba. She is a regular contributor to The Nation newspaper, Kenya’s largest media house, discussing wildlife and the environment, Swara magazine, published by the East African Wildlife Society, and JourneyWoman.

Rupi shares her love of Africa with travellers on tour with her Moonlion Safaris–the name inspired by the lioness staring into my eyes one moon-lit night in Tarangire.
“I love places, spaces, light and every element of the wild. Join me on safari as I scale mountains, dive oceans, surf the savannahs and fly through forests. So travel with me. I’m here to make your dream a reality.” – Rupi Mangat.
