Meet Melinda
My journey with travel began in childhood, when my family explored off-the-beaten-path destinations like Haiti, the Caribbean, and Europe. These trips weren’t about tourism — they were about meeting local people, learning their stories, and forming real connections with place and culture.
Those early experiences shaped how I see the world and ignited a lifelong passion for discovery, humanity, and shared experience.
Learning Through Connection
That passion led me to become a teacher and, in 2001, co-found the CT Experiential Learning Center (CELC), a school rooted in learning through real-world experiences. I’m also a certified Level One Kingian Nonviolence trainer, working under Dr. Bernard LaFayette, Jr., and continue teaching principles of reverence, respect, and compassionate leadership.
Why I Travel — and Why It Matters
To me, travel is a powerful way to open hearts and minds. When we engage across cultures and backgrounds, we begin to truly see one another. These shared moments create understanding, compassion, and connection — the foundation of meaningful travel.
The Heart of With Heart Travel
I pour myself into crafting custom journeys that reflect who you are and what matters to you. I listen deeply, get to know you, and use my trusted network of partners around the world to create travel experiences that are immersive, meaningful, and often transformational.
Whether you’re seeking adventure, connection, or a deeper purpose in your travels, I’m here to help you go beyond the expected — and travel with heart.
