The Gullah Geechee people are known for protecting, preserving, and passing on their West African culture and coastal heritage of spirituality, family, food, music, and language.

Experience part of the Gullah Geechee Cultural Heritage Corridor along South Carolina’s coastline. This national heritage area was established to recognize the unique culture of the Gullah Geechee people who have traditionally resided in the coastal areas of North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.
