This is a beautiful area at the end of the Langdale Valley in the Lake District. In a peaceful spot only 2.6 miles from Ambleside with it’s Lake District charm and many cafes,restaurants and shops full of local produce.

We choose Skelwith Bridge as our base for its peace and tranquillity and the fact that you can walk in high fells or low valleys and right from the door of the hotel. Your local guide will take the middle paths to give you a flavour of the lovely Lake District and experience all the joys of hill walking. You will require a modicum of hill fitness but you certainly won’t be walking up hill all day. The area is full of very varied walks.
