The Christmas season in Europe is a vibrant celebration of regional traditions, where festive decorations and lights transform medieval streets and buildings. The Christmas markets are at the heart of the season, offering various handcrafted gifts, decorations, and delicious foods, including hot mulled wine. These markets range from short weekend events to month-long festivities and may include music, children’s activities, and local artisanal products. Beyond shopping and markets, this experience immerses travelers in the rich culture, history, and cuisine of each region. The unique holiday atmosphere and winter’s charm make this a magical and unforgettable journey.

This 12-night trip offers a blend of comfortable, well-located 3- and 4-star hotels with authentic local charm and most meals, including unique experiences like a dinner concert in Salzburg and a cooking class in Munich. The itinerary includes guided walking tours, visits to nine museums and historic sites, a winery visit and tasting in Colmar, and two musical events in Salzburg.
You’ll explore iconic regions such as the Salzkammergut, the Bavarian Alps, Strasbourg, and several Alsatian wine villages, with transportation between destinations included. The group is predominantly women (75%), making it especially welcoming for solo female travelers.
