Walk Talk Eat France

Journey through history and charm and food

Travel  is transformative. I have travelled  all my life and I can say this  from my heart and from my experiences. It allows us to seek out a new path, it challenges us, it makes us strong , it heals us  and gives us independence, and even a second life . Once you just take that first step, for many outside of your comfort zone, as a solo traveller, you will never look back . It will give you confidence and freedoms that you have not felt or known before. And I know once you’ve got the bug, you will not want to stop.   This is important to me  to help other woman, to impart my experience  my knowledge to make woman independent  and strong  so that they confidently  can stand alone . I have been a successful  executive Chef and worked as a Private chef  all over the world  and in later years  I changed  my career,  did an apprenticeship at 40 to become interior design  architect  builder and have completed 12 Houses from the ground up. My skills have given me the empowerment to take anywhere and its why I moved to France to start  a tour company as I wanted to be able to  to use all my gathered  experiences to support and encourage other woman that it really is possible to enjoy your life as an independent woman

Walk Talk Eat France

It was created by Gabrielle Wise in 2014 out of her passion for good food and wine, love of cooking, and languages, and and French, German & English. With a love of architecture, arts & history all combined, we offer women’s travel retreat holidays in France.

Born in Germany and later as a child moved to Australia. I attended university in Australia and in Europe. Training as a chef in Switzerland and working all over the world, I decided to leave Australia to do what I wanted in my “second Life “and return to my European roots I chose the stunning region of the Dordogne Valley in France to base my small unique tour Company.

The Dordogne Valley

It is here you find the centre of the Gourmet markets of  France. Duck, Cheeses, Foie Gras, Truffles, walnuts and Mushrooms are all at my back door. Here you will enjoy how real life is lived in the quintessential French countryside.

We will visit Medieval villages. Castles. and local marketa. You will stay in an ancient farmhouse transformed into a comfortable, rustic, charming retreat. A place to relax, revive, walk, wander, talk, cook, and eat. Come and enjoy the good life .

Two women stop to take a photo while on a hiking trip. Traveling more sustainably is one way women can make a difference in travel.
