The two-bedroom cottage, which sleeps three comfortably, opened in 2023. It is perfect for families or two friends who want their own privacy. Services include vehicles on site for 24-hour airport transfers and early road safari departures; Lusaka tours; complimentary breakfast and catered healthy homecooked meals; and invitations to join the owners at the firepit and discuss the diverse and wonderful African continent.

“I have been a solo traveller for over 40 years, which may seem a contradictory claim from someone who leads tours in her capacity as director of a small travel company. These days, the joy of solo travel is related to the responsibilities of leading a tour. To create a logistically sound tour, I must experience it first for myself too – homework that is best undertaken single status. Primarily, however, I learned long ago that you cannot waste time waiting for the ideal travel companion. You are extremely fortunate if you find one. By waiting you miss so much! No matter what motivates your love of solo travel, you need to feel safe at your destinations. Many of my safari guests are solo women travellers. My Lusaka guest house was created with them in mind.”
