Elegance, style, class yet fresh and clean along with antiques. Posh but not snooty. Lovely dining room and patios for full buffet breakfast ( squeezed OJ, tea in pot, cappucinno) and dinner. Bar with piano and pianist playing classical music, sandwiches, salads, tea an coffee at bar on luxurious furnishings. Garden grounds, pool and spa. Staff helpful. Just 15 minute walk to downtown Stresa and ferry dock. Great for 4 or 5 day stay then train to Lake Como via Milan. When we were caught in pouring rain in town – they sent a porter to fetch us. Lake views.
