I did a house/cat sit in London for two weeks this past Christmas while travelling solo. Having a home base and taking care of a cat made it possible for me to explore London during the day. I cooked most meals at “home” and had lunch out. Went to a play in the afternoon in the West End, and a “free” walking tour of Mayfair to see the Christmas lights. It was a great experience. The tube and buses are easy to navigate with the TfL app. Free accommodation for taking care of the cat.
