Adventures in Italy began in 2003 as a way to marry art and culture and experience all that Orvieto, Italy has to offer. Retreat mornings are spent in our classroom or out exploring Orvieto with the artist; maybe this week we are sketching, painting, making photographs, or stitching. Afternoons are spent learning about the culture of Italy and Orvieto specifically. Tour the magnificent Duomo, see one of the many caves below our feet, cook our dinner, discover our favorite wines! The most special part of the Adventures in Italy tour is the ability to slow down and become part of the fabric of the Orvieto community.
The Experience
Artistic Enrichment tours invite guests to paint, sculpt or stitch with internationally known instructors, while Discover Orvieto guests focus on the history and culture of Orvieto guided by trusted locals. Both groups come together for wine tasting, cooking class and other local activities. Small group trips in Italy allow for personalized attention and unique experiences.
