Maggie’s Tour Company

CEO of Maggie's Tour Company smiles for the camera while out on safari.

My goal as a guide is to make every safari unique, educational, and fun.

Most women work so much and they need time for retreat and to exchange ideas with others. Women should also travel for change as they are the world who can raise awareness. They are detailed oriented and like educating others.

Retreats & Safaris with Maggie’s Tour Company

My company, Maggie’s Tour Company Limited, was founded by me in 2000. I am one of only a handful of Tanzanian woman owning and operating their own company. My extensive knowledge of flora and fauna is delivered with much enthusiasm and a deep understanding that comes from my connection to our local communities and environment. Embracing culture and ecotourism within our safari tours is an important part of our company ethos.

Giving back to the community

Any income we get goes back into the communities to benefit conservation. As women-led expeditions emerge, we are a new generation of adventurers and the future of African safaris. I work mostly with female guides, of which very few are here in Tanzania. In a country where most guides and owners have been male only, Maggie and her company are truly part of 21st-century Africa.

Single Supplement Policy

Our Single Supplement Policy is designed to accommodate solo travelers by offering them the option of a private room during their stay. A single supplement is an additional fee added to the standard trip cost, covering the higher per-person cost of single occupancy. While we strive to match solo travelers with others to share accommodations where possible, the single supplement ensures a private space for those who prefer it. This fee varies by itinerary, season, and accommodation type.If you’re travelling solo and would like to know more about the specific single supplement fees for your itinerary, please reach out, and our team will be happy to provide detailed information.
