Mosaic Earth Travel was launched in 2020 by Pam McGarel, a sustainability expert passionate about experience design and community partnerships. She recognized a gap in Western Canada’s tourism offerings for multi-day tours in rural and remote communities. As a result, she set out to bring more travelers to these stunning, lesser-known destinations.
Connecting Travelers to Nature and Culture
Our goal is to create immersive, educational experiences rooted in regenerative tourism principles. We aim to elevate local voices and foster meaningful connections between travelers, the natural environment, and Indigenous cultures. Through these efforts, we encourage empathy and understanding while celebrating British Columbia and the Yukon’s unique heritage.
Curating Small-Group, Adventure-Filled Tours
We design small-group, multi-day tours combining soft adventures like hiking, sea kayaking, and wildlife viewing with Indigenous cultural activities. During the day, travelers explore rugged wilderness, while evenings offer the comforts of family-run lodges and exceptional hospitality. Culinary experiences add a special touch, showcasing local flavors and traditions.
Discovering Off-the-Beaten-Path Destinations
Our tours focus on hidden gems like northern Vancouver Island, the Great Bear Rainforest, the Sunshine Coast, Bella Coola, and the Yukon. These destinations offer breathtaking landscapes and rich cultural histories. Guests can join scheduled guided tours with groups of 4-8 people or create custom private tours tailored to their interests.
