Sisterhood Among Women

I feel that It is important to create a safe space for women to travel to Provence and experience the slowed-down lifestyle that is rich with culture and history. I find that groups of women easily create bonds of sisterhood which often create friendships that continue on after the tour. When traveling with women there is an energy of acceptance and support which I feel enriches the group experiences.

The Provence Lifestyle and Photography Tours Experience

Raina is an American international award-winning photographer and has been living in Provence for the past 6 years. She is often seen photographing the Provencal countryside with her canine companion, Zoé. The former nurse-turned-professional photographer has 30 years of photographic experience. She has amassed rare intellectual capital in the Luberon region—whether it’s a crimson poppy backdrop or a patisserie with confections as beautiful as jewels. Raina leads Provencal photography tours and online photography courses focused on combining inspiration with photographic knowledge, and technique. She incorporates her many years as a teacher of meditation and mindfulness into her courses. Her enthusiasm and professionalism—as well as her entrée as a Luberon local—combine to give students exciting new ways of seeing through the lens of their cameras and experiencing the hidden treasure of the area. With her intimate knowledge of the area combined with her ability to speak French, you will get to experience Provence through her eyes, and visit and photograph places that are often only known by locals.

Over the years She has received numerous awards in recognition of her work and has exhibited around the world. For a full list of awards and exhibitions click here.

Commitment to Sustainability

I am committed to sustainability by reducing waste, energy consumption and supporting other business that do the same. I regularly recycle and use reusable products on my tours. I ask my clients to bring reusable water bottles as I do not use or provide plastic water bottles. Being in the south of France, I frequent local markets, buy organic when possible, support local artisans, and small businesses. I prefer to take my clients to authentic off the beaten path locations where they can experience the real Provence while at the same time respecting nature and leaving no trace behind.

Single Supplement Policy

My prices are based on both single and double occupancy and private and shared bathrooms. I do not have a single room supplement. My clients have the option of either a private room with private bath, or private room with shared bath, or shared room with shared bath. The price of the tour is per person as I lead small groups, so there is no discount for a couple sharing a private room for example. My prices vary based on the type of room.
