ROOT44 is a sustainable lifestyle company that focuses on fine foods (with a specialization in the world’s top-grade wild truffles) and culinary travel.

Over the past 2 decades, clients who have enjoyed Wanda’s award-winning products, gourmet cooking classes, and highly rated truffle supper clubs, have implored her to take them to Croatia and further to where these coveted tubers are sourced – the peninsula of Istria. This region that borders Slovenia, Italy, and the Adriatic Sea, holds so many culinary treasures beyond truffles – it is a gastronomic paradise! Over the past decade with a pause during Covid, Wanda has had the pleasure of curating private small-group tours through Croatia to provide an authentic, behind-the-scenes tour showcasing the very best places, people, and food…the highlight being a private truffle hunt and decadent truffle tasting at her family’s truffle estate in Istria.

Single Supplement Policy

Our Tour Packages have pricing based on both double and single occupancy. Building enduring and positive relationships with top-notch hotels allow my team to negotiate better single room rates. I pass the discounts directly to my fellow travellers. The prices reflected in my tours will show a mimimal additional accomodation charge for anyone electing to stay solo in their rooms. If two solo travellers wish to share an accommodation, I will arrange revised package rates to reflect their choices where such an opportunity exists.
