Two rhinos grazing in their natural habitat, a highlight of our conservation-focused trip - Journey With Purpose (JWP) South Africa 2025

13 Days of Impact: Fundraising and Wildlife Conservation in Northern KZN

See hippos frolic and watch crocodiles slide past as you sip sundowners on the estuary in a World Heritage Site conservation park. Go off the beaten track in search of incredible Big 5 animals in South Africa’s oldest game reserve. Fundraise and do meaningful, hands-on humanitarian and conservation work with rhinos and other wildlife. Every step of this life-changing adventure is an experience you will never forget.

Led by highly experienced South African adventurer and eco traveller Carla Geyser of the Blue Sky Society Trust, this once-off Journey With Purpose expedition (in collaboration with JourneyWoman) showcases some of the most magnificent and diverse areas in beautiful Mama Africa.

From St Lucia and the magnificent Hluhluwe Imfolozi Park to Mkuze Falls and Manyoni Game Reserve, you’ll experience oceans, wetlands, bush, and wildlife as you have never seen them on this 13-day epic, all-female trip across Northern KZN.

Just a few of the extraordinary experiences you can look forward to when you join the Journey With Purpose group of eco-travellers include:

  • Meeting and interacting with incredible conservationists and participating in important, impactful conservation and humanitarian work.
  • Visiting St Lucia – South Africa’s first World Heritage Site (awarded as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999).
  • Exploring Hluhluwe Imfolozi Park. The oldest game reserve in South Africa (established in 1895).
  • Snorkelling and whale searching in the warm Indian Ocean at Cape Vidal.

  • Going off the beaten tracks as you look for the Big 5 (as well as hundreds of bird species and magnificent flora and fauna) in Mkuze Falls and Manyoni.
