Cultural Heritage Alliance for Tourism also known as CHAT Tours, was founded in 2016 in Miami by Stephanie M. Jones. CHAT Tours curates local, authentic, and immersive cultural heritage tour experiences that connect people and places that have shaped Black history, communities and culture from the past to the present in the U.S.
CHAT’s “Black Cultural Heritage Tour Collection” provide transformative experiences for culturally curious travelers who seek to learn about the full American story while acknowledging and celebrating the contributions of unknown and little-known Black trailblazers, inventors, and activists. We offer opportunities for meaningful interactions with locals, immersion in local traditions, and with entrepreneurs, artists, and leaders who make a difference in the communities.
The Story
The CHAT “Black Cultural Heritage Tour Collection” is built on the foundation of celebrating diversity, inclusivity, and the richness of our shared heritage.
The women who take our Black Cultural Heritage Tours bring a remarkable sense of curiosity and a deep appreciation for the world’s diverse tapestry. We believe in offering an inclusive platform where the voices and narratives of women can be heard, cherished, and celebrated. We intentionally provide a safe
and supportive space for women to embark on their personal journeys of self-discovery and growth.
Our tours provide opportunities for women to interact with other women including local leaders, artisans, entrepreneurs, and change-makers. By doing so, we contribute to women’s economic and social empowerment, helping to create a more equitable and inclusive society.
Embracing the power of community and celebrating diversity and inclusivity, we foster an environment encouraging people to connect, share their stories, and form lasting friendships. We firmly believe that travel has the power to break down barriers, challenge stereotypes, and promote understanding among cultures.
