The idea of organizing adventure trips for women was conceived in 1996, on a jeep ride through the red rocks of Sedona, Arizona. As we guided tours, we occasionally found ourselves with all-women groups.
Connection and Bonding
What stood out was how easily the women, who were strangers just two hours earlier, bonded with one another. They would often share lunch afterward and connect in meaningful ways. In these all-women groups, quieter voices—who might not speak up in a co-ed setting—found the confidence to share their thoughts. Friendships were formed, challenges were embraced, and fun was had by all.
Growth and Evolution
In 2014, Janet Scalzo acquired the company and set out to expand and enhance the experience. Since then, she’s introduced new trips for all types of travelers, providing personalized adventures that allow women to explore the world with curiosity and confidence.
