The idea for taking women on adventure trips was conceived on a jeep in Sedona, Arizona in 1996. Guiding tours over the red rocks, occasionally the group was all women. The women, strangers to each other just two hours previously, bonded easily and often had lunch together afterwards. We noticed that quiet women, who would unlikely have said much in a co-ed group, had plenty to share. Friendships formed, voices were heard, challenges were met, fun was had! Janet Scalzo acquired the company in 2014 and has been updating, upgrading, and adding trips for every type of traveler, sharing the sheer joy of local, personalized adventures with all women that are curious and consider themselves global citizens.
We offer multi-activity trips guided by the best professionals in the industry to some of the most scenic places in the world. We welcome solo women travelers (about 80% of our guests) with the opportunity to travel without a single supplement. Our trips are all inclusive from meet up to departure. We offer trips all over the world, and more recently (given the pandemic) have added additional US trips to get women safely back to adventure travel. Our very high guest return rate speaks for itself, and private tours are asked for (and personally curated) for groups of 6 women or more.
