I founded Equity Global Treks in 2021 after the many lessons I acquired along the way with the tour company that I originally launched in 2016 (Peak Explorations). From that journey, I realized that the tourism industry lacks full appreciation of women as part of its workforce. In the trekking industry where I focus most of my work, female guides and porters have yet to experience fair treatment and safe working conditions at their jobs on the mountain trails. By joining our EGT tours, you are partaking in our mission to create systemic changes in a male-dominated mountain tourism industry. EGT supports the social projects we run through my human rights organization, The Porter Voice Collective, from producing documentary films to launching women leadership campaigns globally.
