Paris, Provence & the Riviera – The Places that Inspired the Great Writers
“Traveling – it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller.” ~ Ibn Batuta
France has inspired a flood of writers dating back from Roman times to the present. The French people greatly admire writers and artists and their government supports independent bookstores, so much so that thousands still thrive. French writers such as Victor Hugo, Alexis de Toqueville and Simone de Beauvoire changed the landscape of France, those who came over from England such as Oscar Wilde and Henry James found comfort in the arms and protection of Paris and of course Hemingway and Fitzgerald found adventure.
This is a unique, magnificent and women-only luxury trip of glorious English gardens, castles, mansions, ancient cathedrals, quays, rivers, harbors and cragged cliffs in Devon and Cornwall.
