Innately, women are nurturers, and when they travel together, there is oftentimes a deeper level of caring, connection, and sisterhood that occurs, and lifetime bonds are often made. This level of nurturing plays a key role in regenerative travel, an approach to tourism that puts the destination’s needs at the heart of tourism experiences, and creates opportunities for travelers to be stewards of the place they visit.

Global Family Travels, a women-owned travel company based in Bellevue, WA, creates community-based, family-friendly trips that are both meaningful and regenerative. We encourage travelers of all ages to become stewards of the destinations they visit while ensuring our experiences uplift and empower local communities.

Since I founded Global Family Travels in 2010, I have been blessed to share my passion for connecting people and cultures worldwide, and have expanded my own family circle, working with amazing community partners and across the globe that have hosted our travelers in many countries.

Learn, Serve & Immerse

Guided by our three travel pillars, we develop unique adventures in partnership with local communities or non-profit organizations and often times align them with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (global goals). Our Expand-Your-Family Circle travel experiences feature a unique mix of cultural and educational activities, as well as community engagement, to help make a positive impact on the lives of people and natural habitats where we visit.

Destinations that Honor Our Roots

Global Family Travels offers adventures in over 20 destinations around the world, including the Seattle/ Pacific Northwest U.S. region. Global Family Travels roots began in beautiful Ladakh, India in 2010. Since then, we have journeyed with clients to this region on many special trips, supporting wonderful community-focused organizations, including the Siddhartha School, a unique school that educates children in the remote villages of this Himalayan region.

Other Travel Services

Global Family Travels offers Travel Advisor Services, including custom trip planning for families, multi-generational travel, individual adventurers, or spiritual seekers, including regenerative retreats, spiritual journeys and yoga trips. We have also been working with families to organize Family GAP Year and Extended Travel. Global Family Travels knows the world, and we are experts in planning extended family sabbaticals filled with cultural immersion experiences!

In fact, we aim go one step further, by applying principles of regenerative tourism, working with local non-profits or community led organizations to help ensure that the travel experiences we design intentionally benefit local communities and environmental systems, so that all beings can thrive in a holistic way.
