Glorious Glaramara

A group of women overlooking the Lake District - Glorious Glaramara - WalkingWomen

6 Days Summer Lesbian UK Lakes Holiday 2024 with WalkingWomen – Only a few rooms left.

Our summer holiday here has been a feature of the WalkingWomen holiday programme for over 22 years.

Join us to get together and connect with women from all over the world—to walk, connect, and feel revived. This year, we have added some special live music to the programme. Come and spend time with us in the English Lake District.

Glorious Glaramara – Stay

Glaramara Hotel is situated 7 miles south of Keswick in the picturesque hamlet of Seatoller in the Borrowdale Valley. It offers impressive scenery, beautiful walks, and swimming pools, a short walk from the door. For those who love to be in nature in the company of other women, it’s a peaceful place to sit and soak in the views!

Glorious Glaramara – Activities

Our location gives us a wide variety of walks, from the famous peaks of Scafell Pike, Great Gable, Haystacks, and Glaramara to plenty of lowland walks within Borrowdale.

There are clear paths to visit Tarns and walk across Maiden Moor. The famous Borrowdale oak woods can be explored on the banks of the River Derwent. Plus, there are lots of National Trust sites and gardens to visit, so variety really will be the spice! Expect to have a choice of 2 walks each day to suit your level. Additionally, we may also do some walks together with options to return earlier or stop more, as we have guides who can accompany different groups at different stages. And there are many opportunities to swim in rivers and lakes.

Holiday Highlights:

  • Some evening entertainment with a special evening of music by Belinda O’Hooley and Heidi Tidow, the famous duo who created the theme tune to Gentleman Jack.
  • The talented Dryadic (Zora), whose song ‘I Like’ beautifully complements our latest video, will also perform.
  • Experienced guides will provide a range of walks from goats 1 to 4, and four fantastic WalkingWomen guides will cover every goat as we walk high mountains and more gentle lakeside walks. There will be something for everyone.

Our walking programme is subject to change depending on the weather and at the discretion of our local guides. A full programme of varied walks will suit different goat levels. Our guides will brief you on what is available the evening before so you can choose what suits your needs.
