Experience this 12-Day Trip with Purpose: Protect This Fragile Environment. Help Repair the Trails You Love to Hike!
Because of its exceptional ecological significance, more than 40 years ago UNESCO designated Torres del Paine National Park in the Patagonia region of Chile as a Reserve of the Biosphere.
The park’s unique biodiversity includes guanacos, endangered huemuls, soaring Andean condors, and the elusive puma. The dramatic granite mountain spires, spectacular glaciers, turquoise lakes, and haunting winds draw visitors from around the world to hike the trails and experience the awe of Patagonia.
Since 2005, the Conservation Volunteers International Program has been bringing groups of volunteers to Torres del Paine National Park in Chile to experience Patagonia while also helping to protect this international treasure for future generations. Travelers on our Torres del Paine Patagonia Chile Volunteer Trip participate in important trail projects. Properly designed and maintained trails help keep hikers on the trails, which protects the fragile landscape and the flora and fauna from visitors’ encroachment onto sensitive habitats. Our projects make a significant contribution to the protection of this marvelous landscape.
Help protect this international treasure while experiencing the trip of a lifetime.
